Sometimes in life you just can’t understand what’s happening all the time. Sometimes you can only see one part of the big picture…you know there are other pieces of the puzzle, but you just can’t see it.
There are times in your life when you can’t really comprehend why things happened, why you’re like this, why they are like that, what’s going to happen next, who’s going to marry you, when are you going to stop doing this, why am I in this job, why I’m always wrong, I don’t like this but I can’t get out, I’m bored, I’m burned out.
I learned that moments like these are the best moments.
I learned moments like that are created intentionally by God, through many different ways, often through our own choices, mistakes or sins.
But they are there to serve a purpose. The good moments and the bad moments are there for a purpose, that is to understand more of God and of His mercy and grace.
When you make a mistake or sin, don’t run, instead come closer to God.
Yes, that’s right. When you sin, come CLOSER.
When you watch that porn movie and you feel ashamed, when you lie or cheat or manipulate and you suffer, when you turn greedy or sell your soul to evil for money, come closer to God.
God wants to show that your sins are FORGIVEABLE. They are pardonable and have been pardoned!
Moments like these are the best moments.
Because when you finally found the courage to move closer to God in an unperfect condition, you will be surprised.
Because He will hug you. He will give you strength and hope once again. He makes you a little stronger than you were before. You will fail again. But if you catch the understanding of this cycle – That it is coming to Him in weakness, not strength, that activates His grace to make us stronger – then you will keep coming and coming and coming in weaknesses, not in strength.
Because God does not give strength to those who think they are strong, but God gives strength to those who those who think they are weak and powerless.
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 1Cor 12:9-10
